Interior Design Tips for Iron Fish Art Sculptures

Tips provided by Cari Halsey of J. Banks Design Group http://www.jbanksdesign.com

  • For larger rooms try a "school of fish look." Place your wall mounted fish sculputures in groups of 2, 3, 4, or more on an empty wall at various heights. Remember, fish swim in schools.
  • Where space is limited, try hanging over a door with an antique rod on one side catching the iron fish on the other side.
  • To add "splash" to your child's room, paint waves on a wall and have multiple fish sculptures jumping in and out of the water.
  • If you have accent lighting in your home place your fish sculpture underneath and watch it come alive.
  • They're the perfect coastal decoration for hanging outdoors or on a covered porch.
  • Use numerous fish sculptures around the perimeter of the room to make a "one of a kind" border.
  • Add life to your bookcases by displaying the smaller fish sculptures on plate stands.
  • Hang them in your stairwell. These iron fish can "swim" upstream, traveling as the staircase rises.
  • The fish look best when they are decorated in odd numbers.
  • These fish sculptures are great decoration even away from coastal environments.
  • Let them serve as reminders of a relaxed way of life. They are also great for mountain, lake, or river homes and retreats.
  • For a totally unique concept, try using 3 or 4 sculptures as a headboard in a bedroom.
