Hello All,
I am proud to present to you my 3rd quarter, summer/fall iron fish sculptures. Returning customers and art collectors will surely notice that there have been some new additions to my designs. For one, notice a few of the iron fish sculptures appear as if they are in motion with a curved tail. Also, you will notice that I have a couple new “speckled” fish designs. I have always avoided painting speckles on my aquatic sculptures because the idea simply bored me. Finally, with the assistance of a well placed ball peen hammer, I figured a way to create a raised speckled effect on to the fish sculptures which adds to the texture and is a nice substitute for the raised scales. Expect to see more of this addition in the future.
About the names…I felt like paying my respects once again to the world of music. The names listed are all well respected musicians in the Bluegrass world. As most of you noticed in the past I often name my quarterly designs after other artists who entertain or inspire me. These musicians have worked often as my inspiration when I am designing my iron fish sculptures. Each musician listed has brought me hours of entertainment. If these names are foreign to you, go buy a few CD’s today. You will not regret it.

Keep an eye out for the recently added subliminal signature that you will find on each metal fish
sculpture. All sculptures are characterized by a stylized CA (my initials) torch cut as an eye. I thought one more form of quasi hidden authentication wouldn�t hurt.
PS. You will notice that the crab has become a permanent design similar to the Iron Ethel Mermaid sculpture (named by my father). Please know that I will paint the crab red if you would like a “cooked” crab. For those of you interested in art with a twist, call me and ask for a “half cooked crab”. This poor soul hangs vertically and is painted half blue and half red. Anyone who has ever boiled a pot of crabs knows that there are always one or two crabs sticking out of the water half cooked.
