Hello Customers and Collectors!

The new Third Quarter/Summer & Fall Iron fish designs have arrived. For the first time since Chase Allen started designing and forging iron fish sculptures, this quarters designs are recreations of actual fish species. Not to worry, each hand crafted sculpture will continue to embody the trademark vintage finish, signature smile, texture, and style of all original Iron Fish designs.

Featured in the new designs are three tropical fish found in and around the reefs of Hawaii and other tropical environments. In fact, one of the three tropical fish from this quarter, the famous Clown Fish (a.k.a. “Nemo”), has been selected as this quarter’s featured fish.

Also found in the new collection are a variety of sport fish found and caught in and around the waters of the low country where The Iron Fish Studio resides. Due to local pressures, Chase has finally added a Sea Trout, Red Fish (a.k.a. spot-tailed bass) and a Flounder which are considered the three highest prized, inland fish caught in his coastal region. Additionally are the highly coveted Jack Crevalle, Bone Fish, Red Snapper, and Cobia designs which are all common commissioned requests received from fishing enthusiasts all over the world.

Because of the increasing numbers of these various commissioned sport & tropical fish, all ten designs will remain on the permanent collection page. These fish will not be retired like the other Iron Fish Art designs of the past and future. They will always be featured in a likewise manner to the mermaid and the crab designs and can be made in a small, medium, or large size or can be commissioned in to an even larger sculpture if necessary. If purchased as a gift, don’t forget to have the sculpture specially gift-wrapped in market paper.

Keep an eye out for the added subliminal signature that you will find on each metal fish
sculpture. All sculptures are characterized by a stylized CA (my initials) torch cut as an eye. I thought one more form of quasi hidden authentication wouldn't hurt.

PS. You will notice that the crab has become a permanent design similar to the Iron Ethel Mermaid sculpture (named by my father). Please know that I will paint the crab red if you would like a “cooked” crab. For those of you interested in art with a twist, call me and ask for a “half cooked crab”. This poor soul hangs vertically and is painted half blue and half red. Anyone who has ever boiled a pot of crabs knows that there are always one or two crabs sticking out of the water half cooked.
